Berber Azilal wool rug 260 x 160 cm

This is an authentic, soft, traditional Moroccan Berber rug, made by highly skilled artisans from Morocco's Atlas Mountains. Entirely handmade, it took around 3 to 4 weeks to complete. It features the famous black diamond design, which is sure to bring the true spirit of Morocco into any home.

Azilal rugs are works of art through which each rural woman of the Azilal region tells her story. The themes are all inspired by tribal life, such as birth, motherhood, marriage and even farming.
Among the Berbers, it is said to be the rug that drives you mad. That is probably far-fetched, but I understand that some people are literally crazy about it. The Azilal manages to bring together the colors of the Boucherouite and the first-shear wool of the Beni Ouarain.
