OUR STORY<\/p>\n

Preserving what was about to disappear<\/em><\/h2>\n

Founded in 2009 in the heart of the historic region of Tamesloht, the cooperative was born of an urgent need: to protect a heritage that time threatened to erase. Traditional weaving and the art of the Moroccan rug, passed down from generation to generation, risked dying out for lack of successors and recognition.<\/p>\n

Preserving this craft also meant preserving the people who carry it. The cooperative made it its mission to offer lasting employment opportunities \u2014 work that guarantees dignity and stability for the region's artisans, rather than precarity.<\/p>\n

Saving a gesture means saving the people who keep it alive.<\/p>\n

THE FOUNDERS<\/p>\n

Heirs to an ancestral gesture<\/em><\/h2>\n

They did not invent this craft: they inherited it. Each represents the second or third generation of weavers in his family, with forty to fifty years at the loom. Together, they chose to save a craft that time was erasing, and to turn it into a cooperative.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Our cooperative was not born of an abstract idea. It was born of a place: Tamesloht, a historic region of Moroccan weaving, where this craft took root and is passed down from generation to generation.<\/p>\n

It is here, in 2009, that everything began. And it is here that everything is still made, by hand, to this day. Under one roof stand the weaving, sewing, embroidery, pottery and joinery workshops, and our recycling workshop \u2014 each gesture nourishing the others.<\/p>\n

At the heart of this place, the Riad: both a showroom and a living house, where the pieces catch the light of the earthen walls that saw them born.<\/p>\n
